People + Robots: Shaping the Future of Construction Together

What happens when human expertise meets robotic automation?

This was one of the key questions explored at International Built Environment Week (IBEW) 2026 in Singapore, where our CEO, Thomas Dall-Hansen, joined an international panel of industry professionals to discuss the future of construction.

The discussion, “People + Robots = ? Making the Equation Work,” brought together perspectives from robotics, construction and technology to explore an increasingly important challenge: how can automation and people work together effectively?

As the construction industry faces growing pressure to improve productivity, address labour shortages and adopt new technologies, the conversation is no longer simply about introducing robots. It is about understanding where automation creates value and how it can support the people working alongside it.

At GMT Robotics, this is central to our approach. We develop robotic solutions for reinforcement production with a focus on practical applications, production efficiency and the challenges our customers face every day.

Participating in IBEW offered an opportunity to exchange perspectives with industry leaders and contribute to the wider conversation about the future of construction.
